A talented draftswoman has been invited to create an artwork for the place d'Art of Muse. Chourouk Hriech is a Franco-Morroccan artist who constantly reinvents architecture through her black and white drawings. For Muse, she chose to design 7 totems of different sizes covered by an adhesive metal. The drawings represent the environment in which they are installed and are illuminated on the evening by a colored halo. The artist started to drew from what the name « Muse » inspired her and then in echo with the architectures of the region. Thus you can recognize the water tower of the railway station « le château d’eau de la gare” or the Pompidou-Metz Center reinterpreted by Chourouk Hriech.

Indeed, nature freely emerges in her drawings through the urban landscapes and birds, one of the recurring leitmotivs of her artwork, are visible on each totem as the guiding element of this visual journey. Coming from the impressions and memories of Chourouk Hriech who has often walked the city, these drawings cross time and space and through them, the history of Metz. They are an invitation to imagination, to travel in the world of the artist and to discover Metz from a poetic angle. Through this dazzling experience, we are invited to let our eye slide towards the sky along each totem while strolling in this vertical forest.
